The Dream Learning development plan: a free platform for every child

We imagine Dream Learning as a safe, free "study companion" that works even on weak connections. Here is how we plan to build it — one step at a time.

Of our four programs, Dream Learning is the most ambitious and the one that will take the longest. This article shares how we intend to build the platform — not as a promise, but as an invitation for feedback and collaboration.

Three design principles

  • Truly free: no fees, no advertising, no data selling — and that commitment will be written into our charter.
  • Light and offline: low-bandwidth content that can be downloaded, synced when connected, and run on old computers.
  • Safe for children: no social networking, no messaging with strangers, minimal data collection.

Where will the content come from?

From Vietnamese teachers. We will build a volunteer teacher program with shared content standards, peer review and recognition of contributions. Every lesson must be reviewed by at least one other teacher before publication.

Planned roadmap

  • Phases 1–2: interview teachers and students; choose 2–3 pilot subjects and grades; design the technical architecture.
  • Phase 3: produce the first set of lessons; test at schools with Dream Digital learning corners.
  • Phases 3–4: launch the public platform with core subjects and offline packs.
  • Phase 5: pilot the supervised AI learning assistant; expand subjects.

About the AI learning assistant

We believe AI can help children learn better — if designed properly. The Dream Learning assistant will not do homework for them but suggest ways of thinking; it will have content filters, a limited question scope and logs for teachers and parents. We will only deploy it after a safety assessment and trials with teachers.

Who do we need?

Teachers who want to contribute lessons. Developers who want to build open-source software. AI and child-safeguarding experts. Designers who care about young children's experience. If you see yourself in this list, please get in touch.

Build dreams with us

The project is taking its first steps and needs serious companions: teachers, technology specialists, businesses, schools and organisations that share our goal.
