A community project for children's education in Vietnam

Building Dreams, Opening Futures.

Dream Builders Foundation is a community project in formation, working toward nonprofit status, with one aim: fair learning opportunities for disadvantaged children in rural, mountainous and remote areas of Vietnam.

We believe children's dreams do not need to be handed to them — they only need the path cleared.

The challenge

Opportunity to learn has never been shared equally

Vietnam has made great progress in universal education. Yet for hundreds of thousands of children in underserved areas, going to school still comes with very concrete barriers.

1

Missing the basics

Textbooks, notebooks, a backpack, a uniform — the start-of-year cost is a real burden for families with seasonal incomes.

2

A widening digital gap

Many schools have no computer lab; many ninth-graders have never used a computer on their own, while learning increasingly depends on technology.

3

Unsafe classrooms

Leaking roofs, poor lighting, broken furniture and inadequate toilets directly affect health and regular attendance.

4

No one to guide them

Quality content exists online but is not designed for children with weak connections and no adult support.

Four programs

Each program removes one barrier

From the most basic essentials to a learning platform for the future — four programs designed to reinforce one another.

Dream Essentials

A small set of books can open a big journey.

Providing textbooks, school supplies, uniforms and everyday essentials so that children from disadvantaged families can keep learning — steadily and with confidence.

Dream Digital

Narrowing the digital divide, widening opportunities to learn.

Bringing computers, connectivity and digital skills to children in underserved areas, so that the digital gap does not become a gap in their futures.

Dream Schools

A better place to learn, a wider future to reach.

Helping improve classrooms, libraries, lighting, clean water and sanitation at under-resourced schools, so that every school day is safe and joyful.

Dream Learning

Free knowledge, opportunity for every child.

Our long-term strategic program: a completely free online learning platform designed for disadvantaged children and for places with limited connectivity.

Our Mission

To bring fair learning opportunities to disadvantaged children in Vietnam by providing learning equipment, books, everyday essentials and computers, improving school facilities and developing a completely free online education program.

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow and pursue their dreams, regardless of family circumstances or where they live.

Our Vision

A future where economic circumstances or geography are no longer barriers to children accessing knowledge and developing their potential.

Why education

Education is the most lasting way for a child to change their own life

A meal helps a child through a day. A set of books, a safe classroom, a computer and a dedicated teacher can help a child through a lifetime. Education does not only open up jobs — it opens up self-determination, confidence and the right to dream.

We do not believe we can change everything. But we believe every small barrier removed — a notebook, a light bulb, an hour in a computer class — is one step closer to the future these children deserve.

  • Children who finish school have better chances of stable work and income.
  • Literacy and digital skills are the foundation of lifelong learning.
  • Safe schools keep children — especially girls — in class for longer.
  • An educated child lifts their whole family and community.

Intended regions

Starting in Khánh Hòa, reaching across Vietnam

We start where we live to learn how to do things right, then expand with local partners.

  • Khánh Hòa

Home of the project; first pilots planned in Cam Lâm and the mountainous districts of Khánh Sơn and Khánh Vĩnh.

  • South Central Coast & Central Highlands

Neighbouring provinces with many remote communes and ethnic-minority communities.

  • Northern mountains

    Long-term direction through local partners.

  • Mekong Delta

Long-term direction, prioritising areas affected by climate change.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask about the project and where we stand today.

Is Dream Builders Foundation a licensed foundation?
Not yet. The project is in its formation stage. "Dream Builders Foundation" is our intended brand; we are researching the appropriate legal framework and will announce clearly once legal status is obtained. Until then, any pilot activities will be carried out through legally recognised partners.
Can I donate money right now?
Not at this time. We do not accept monetary donations and will only open a channel once a legal mechanism, official accounts and a transparent reporting process are in place. If you would like to support us, please get in touch to discuss other forms of collaboration such as equipment, expertise or time.
Where does the project operate?
We are based in Cam Lâm, Khánh Hòa and aim to work across Vietnam, prioritising children in rural, mountainous and remote areas. The first pilot activities are planned for Khánh Hòa and neighbouring provinces.
What are the four programs?
Dream Essentials provides books and everyday school essentials; Dream Digital brings computers and digital skills to schools; Dream Schools improves school infrastructure; and Dream Learning builds a free online learning platform.
How can I volunteer?
We are looking for teachers, technology specialists, content creators, architects, engineers and people with nonprofit governance experience. See the "Get Involved" page and contact us by email at founder@quykientaogiacmo.org, by phone or in person.
Is the Dream Learning platform available yet?
No. Dream Learning is a long-term strategic program currently in the design stage. This website only presents the concept and planned subjects. We will not publish any course until its content has been reviewed by teachers.
